ZnS windows, Zinc Sulphide optics
Zinc Sulphide optical components including ZnS windows, wedges and ZnS lenses. ZnS grown by chemical vapor desposition (CVD) exhibits exceptional fracture strength and hardness leading to its frequent choice for harsch environments. This material is often used in the 8 to 12 microns region.
Alkor Technologies produces custom Zinc Sulphide windows and wedges according to your specifications. ZnS has a lower cost relative to ZnSe and ZnS MS, and has potential wherever a tough and strong IR transmitting material is required. Maximal size of ZnS optics - 50mm diameter.
Please send us your specifications, we will quote it within 24hrs.
